Summer Book Study starting June 11
As we reflect on who we are and where we’re going as a church, Bivocational: Returning to the Roots of Ministry by Mark Edington offers a hopeful, practical way to explore how ministry can be shared by the whole community—not just clergy. With humor, clarity, and honesty, the book invites us to imagine new ways of being the church in changing times. Edington looks at how the traditional model of church is becoming less sustainable for many communities. But instead of seeing that as a loss, he points to it as an opportunity.
Each week, we’ll explore topics like how leadership is changing, what “church” really means, and how we can build a faithful, flexible future together. We’ll read and discuss the book together over five weeks—bring your questions, your stories, and your curiosity.
